New Energy

Late winter blooms with thriving flora of all types, bursting up after a many seasons of hot, dry weather. Chest-high in a tall growth of grasses and weeds, these young horses moved toward me in a small mob. They barely paid me any attention as they browsed and meandered along the low foothill. They looked a little rough, loosing their winter coats, but their spirits were invigorated by fresh grass and cooler weather. With frequent bursts of speed and half-hearted skirmishes, they entertained themselves while traveling without purpose to a new browsing area behind the older members of their group.
